Our Services
Ambulance Service
We are very proud to be able to offer our clients an ambulance service. Our ambulance is available to collect and return your pets during normal practice hours. Please note that the ambulance is not available after hours and is by arrangement with the practice only, this is because our ambulance is used by our sister practice as well. ** in some cases a deposit may be necessary before your pet is collected.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations are of the utmost importance in ensuring a healthy and disease-free pet. Vaccinations are not only required when your pet is young but required annually lifelong.
Do you have a new puppy or kitten? Let us assist the family in creating a vaccination program for your new family member.
What if your adult pets' vaccinations are overdue? Not a problem, we will assist in getting them up to date.
Pet Nutrition
Your pets' diet and nutrition are the foundation of his/her health and well-being and goes beyond just filling your pets' belly. Each pets' nutritional needs differ according to their breed, age, and physiological state. Pet nutrition has been clinically proven to maintain a longer and healthier life for your pet, in preventing health and developmental issues later in their lives.
We stock a wide variety of diets at the practice, and will gladly order in a specific diet for your pet, should we not have stock.
Clinical Examinations
From general health check-ups to specific health issues. Our veterinarians will treat your beloved pets as one of their own.
Unlike human doctors, our patients cannot tell us how they feel or what is wrong. Our pets are very good at hiding their issues as well, especially when they know a trip to the vet is immanent. Veterinarians must use their special skills to determine what is wrong with your pet.
On site testing
Our on-site laboratory facilities allow us to test samples immediately to provide fast and effective treatment.
Our equipment allows us to do Full blood counts, Serum Bio-chemistry, Urinalysis, in-house bacterial culturing and sensitivity, X-rays, Diagnostic ultrasounds and faecal analysis.

Avian DNA sexing and Grooming
Our veterinarians here at Cradle Vet Bird and Animal Hospital have a special love and passion for birds. With many years of experience with these sensitive species, your birds will be in great hands.
We are able to determine the sex of your bird through DNA testing and provide specialized grooming.
Beak, nails and wing clip, ask for the full combo deal!
*** We administer a small amount of anaesthetic gas for beak trims, as it can be a stressful event. - Give us a call for all the necessary information.
Exotic and Reptile Consults
No critter is too small or too slithery for our veterinarians.
We treat a wide variety of exotic pets and reptiles. If we should be unable to assist, we will always ensure we provide you with the best possible advice and refer you to a well-known specialist should you need it.
We take caution when treatment is needed to venomous or poisonous species. We might refer you to a specialist in these cases.
